Originally from Almería Spain, Francisco Céspedes has studied a double degree in Business and Law for the past six years at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, Spain. He will graduate in June 2021 and for the next academic year he will pursue a master’s degree in legal practice, focusing on company law. 

Mr. Céspedes is particularly interested in new technologies and their legal implications, competition, and European law. For the summer months Francisco will be part of our team at Amata Green as a legal intern as the company is moving its headquarters to Andalusia, Spain. Originally from Bulgaria, Ms. Chaykova  is a law student at the University of Almeria, Spain.  At this university, she has had the opportunity to expand her knowledge in one of the biggest insurance brokerage companies in Spain, and there, has gained great experience with contracts and agreements. Having the opportunity to work as a court interpreter in Almeria’s tribunal system, Ms. Chaykova’s interest sparked as she been able to be part of a variety civil, labour and criminal law trials. She speaks three languages and has developed an interest in sustainable agriculture, which she will be able to explore as part of her legal internship at Amata Green. Originally from Spain, Mr. Bernal is a final year International Business Law LLM student at St. Mary’s University in London, where he will complete a Master’s degree in June 2021. His areas of expertise encompass fields such as International Intellectual Property Law and International Arbitration. In addition, Mr. Bernal’s thesis explores data-driven solutions to bring gender and demographic balance to arbitral tribunals in International Arbitration. Furthermore, he graduated in Law at University of Seville, where he obtained a wide knowledge of the Spanish legal system.  Mr. Bernal also reinforces his commitment towards inclusion and diversity in actively volunteering in Red Cross Spain, where he provides legal advice and support to the immigrant community on matters related to Immigration Law, Family Law and Labour Law.  

Mr. Bernal will be part of Amata Green’s project as a Legal Intern. He believes that reducing greenhouse emissions and promoting sustainability are the biggest challenges that our global society will need to face in 21st Century and therefore, has decided to be part of the solution by joining Amata Green’s intern team.
